Hey! How’s it going everyone? Things have been going well over here, and this vlog has really inspired me to make more of an effort to get out and enjoy my surroundings, just like I knew it would.
For example, just this week, rather than allowing myself to fall into hibernation mode as the sun was on it’s way down for the night, I got out to go watch the moon rise and I’m so grateful that I did. It was pretty magical and it’s not something I usually do. Since my house is tucked down between two mountains, I don’t see the moon from home, until it’s high up in the sky.

The biggest thing that’s really stood out for me over the last couple of weeks, is that life is what you make it. My first three years living up here were full of excitement and exploration. Last year, with all of the chaos going on in the world, I made less of an effort to do anything fun or adventurous, imagining that life would get better again “once this was all over.”

But the truth is, life will get better again when you make an effort to make it better again. None of us knows when the chaos will end, all we can do is make our best effort to really focus on finding and enjoying beauty, and viewing things from different angles and perspectives.
It’s really easy to get caught up in the day to day grind, or in the stress of everything going on around you, but with a little effort—a drive up to a view spot, a short walk through a natural space, or simply stopping to watch the birds for a while—you can add some joy to your life that wouldn’t be there otherwise.
And that’s what I talk about in today’s Colorado Mountain Living Vlog! You can watch the episode by clicking this link here. I hope you enjoy it!

Hi, I’m Kristen!
I envision a world where you and I rediscover what it is to be human, through connection with ourselves, each other and the natural world around us.
