My own personal social media platform

I quit all of my social media accounts (obviously other than YouTube) several years ago.

Since that time I've noticed that I very rarely document my life anymore, other than in video — and that's only select things.

I love looking back on photos that I've taken.

They're fun reminders of my life —usually just little things that I'd typically have forgotten, had I not taken a photo.

And there's been a serious gap in photos since I stopped posting on Instagram and deleted my account in 2021.

I decided I wanted to remedy this.

I'm not rejoining Instagram. Personally I think it's kind of toxic, (and that's after 8 years of nearly daily use of it, so I'm speaking from experience).

I want to take more regular photos of my life and add them to my website. It's like my own personal little social media platform. A place where I can look back on the days of my life and remember and appreciate the little things that I would've forgotten.

Like the way my yard looked at the end of fall.

This tree was one of the only ones left in color and it was magnificent. I could see it out my side window, while sitting on my couch. All its friends had already changed and lost their leaves, but it was still going strong, so I wanted to capture it, to remember the beautiful gift it gave me.

I’m not sure how often I’ll post here, I just know that I’d like to post here, to have reminders of the passing time.

Hi, I’m Kristen!

I envision a world where you and I rediscover what it is to be human, through connection with ourselves, each other and the natural world around us.
